WW II Imperial Japanese Navy WEATHER VANE / WIND DIRECTION SHIPS VERY RARE

This instrument measured the current wind direction, and relayed the information to a compass below. Made of solid brass, this piece is is in SUPERB used condition! It still retains 95% of it's original finish, with a VERY NICE overall patina! There are TWO WW2 Japanese Navy Inspection Stamps (one on the base, one on the vane) that are matching. Features a large base that bolted onto the top of a mast. There is a connection inside the base that obviously connected to something below, to relay the information. 100% FUNCTIONAL, it indicated wind direction, and features 4 individual arms that have the Kanji markings for North, South, East, and West.

Though I have had many of the smaller hand-held Anemometers and Wind Direction Indicators, this is the ONLY one I have seen of this size, and cast in solid brass! Like most Japanese WW2 items, this indicator is VERY RARE, and would make a PERFECT addition to any Japanese collection! Most of my items are vintage, and as such are AS-IS, so you must therefore expect a degree of wear due to age and/or usage. Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft Fw190, Me262, etc. , as well as USAF and Japanese items.
