This Rare & Vintage item is definitely a great find for any Collector of any category! This a Beautiful and extremely well preserved WWII British Army Hat Badge. The Badge was issued to a specially trained Soldier in "The Kings Royal Rifle Corps ". This Hat Badge is absolutely one of a kind, thorough research has yielded me no other examples like this one.
But it has provided a history & story about this Historic item. I'm "assuming" the Soldier who wore this Hat Badge had it stamped Mital & C. At 10Arm due to his participation in the defeat and suppression of Axis Forces(Germany & Italy) during the 2nd Battle of El Alamein on 11/11/1942.From 12/9/1942 to 5/27/1943, the 11th Battalion of The Kings Royal Rifle Corps served with the 10th Armored Division in El Alamein. The 11th Battalion was formed from the 1st Battalion of The Queens Westminsters during WWII.
Was unable to find the name of the Soldier himself, despite extensive research. Putting a Country, Date, Battle, Location, Division, & Battalion attached to this WWII piece of History definitely increases its Rariety. Make this one of your Treasures. All pictures are accurate of condition.
