This listing is for a. Very Rare Altec Lansing Emperor Royale 314A Stereo Tube FM Tuner with Original Box. This was Altec Lansing's top of the line FM Tuner and was not made for very long and because of this they are rarely seen for sale. This tuner's serial number is # 139 and by the EIA manufacture's date code it was made by Altec the first week of 1963. The tuner is in working and although the original owner was also a technician he had not used the tuner in a few years so it may need to have some tweeking done to it. The cosmetic condition is great, it is not perfect as there are very minor nick scratches on the face plate that are not noticeable without very close inspection. The over all cosmetics can be seen in the pictures. Some of the electronic part/s may continue for another 50 years without need of replacement and some electronic part/s may fail a few days after you start using the item.
