SR Royal Seatpost 27.2 NOS very rare find in box Nuovo Record clone great finish
SR Royal 27.2 seatpost new in the box with wrench. We've been in this business for years, and we almost never see SR Royal seatposts new in the box!
And if we did find one, we'd never find a 27.2. Well, we are lucky and now we can supply the lovely post seen in the photos. The SR Royal post has a nice finish. You get the one shown in the photos - some very minor shopwear as is typical, but much nicer than most for sure. Box is only in fair condition. If a Campagnolo Nuovo Record full length post calls itself 180mm (shaft) we'd call this closer to 160. But SR is more conservative with where they put the limit line. In reality, the post is effectively, as best as we can measure, really about 15mm shorter than a full length Nuovo Record. Most of us are riding larger bikes these days, so this length post should be perfect for typical sized people with well fitting bikes. This item is perfect for that old Cinelli, Masi, Hetchins, Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL bicycle that you have. This item will be great for that vintage lightweight bicycle that you may be displaying at Classic Bicycles Auburn in June 2024 in Auburn Indiana at the famous Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum.Many items, especially vintage items, are best for display-only due to metal fatigue, other degradation from time, and vintage designs that were not subject to modern testing. But don't use this reason is you simply changed your mind about your need for the item. You take care of us, and we take care of you! We "failed retirement" and once again are in the vintage bicycle parts business. If the postal service is slow or has other issues, we'll help with tracking and moral support, but we aren't the postmaster.
