Royal Flying Corps Trench Art 1916 WW1 British Shell. Here we have our estate clearance latest find , a 1916 trench art shell , whats unusual is the shell is decorated with the royal flying Corps emblem and logo , the motto Per Ardua Ad Astra is ingrained under the badge , which is the motto of the Royal Flying Corps of the time, this engraving is difficult to make out but is visible under close inspection. I believe this is a genuine trench art item due to the crudeness of the engraving and not one thats been produced later and is passed off as Trench art.
