Royal Doulton -'MARRIAGE of ART and INDUSTRY' Hn2261. Iconic piece of Royal Doulton designed by Peggy Davies. Measuring an impressive 18 tall (approx), this figure, was specially designed for the Brussels International Exhibition of 1958, at which the Company were awarded the Grand Prix. Recorded as being produced in a limited edition of 12 and not released for general sale. The figure is finished in a highly unusual glaze with green highlights.

Overall the figure is in excellent condition, however upon closer inspection there is damage to the tails of the two small birds to the rear of the base (see images). This minor damage could easily be corrected by skilled hands or alternatively the figure could be continued to be enjoyed as is. Please feel free to contact me if you require any further details.
