This original piece stands at 10 inches tall and 6 inches wide, showcasing the timeless craftsmanship and artistic flair of Royal Doulton's creations from the early 1900s. The above paragraph was done by AI -- absolutely amazing, isn't it? But now I'll make a comment or two regarding this fantastic piece of Doulton. I have about 25 books on Doulton and cannot find anything similar.
The figures appear to be hand painted - but I'm not certain. They look too big to be transfers - - but - who knows? The colors are a perfect blend for this piece and it appears that a lot of the work surrounding the pictures is hand-crafted. Collis is on the bottom, but in all my Doulton books I cannot find that name.
The pictures (above) show the exterior, bottom and interior (hard to see inside, but it's perfectly clean and clear). Diameter at its widest is about 6 inches. Weight (including box and packing) will be about 5 pounds.Be assured that there will be enough crumpled newspaper and bubble wrap to choke the proverbial horse! We've had this piece for many years - it's just time to downsize a huge collection of Doulton.
