Rare Royal Doulton Seriesware Gallant Fishers Jug D3680. These Tudor shape jugs were produced in three sizes, this being the largest size. Title: " Of Recreation There Is None So Free As Fishing Is Alone". Scene: A smiling man fishing cross legged on wall, his friend behind also fishing. Series Issued: 1913 - 1936. Height: 8 inches (20.3 cm), Width: (spout to handle) 7 1/2 inches (19.1 cm), Base: 5 inches (12.7 cm) approx. Very Good Condition - No cracks, scratches, crazing, restoration or any other kind of damage. There are three areas to the base of the jug, two appear as paint loss/chips but are under glaze.

The other is a chip/fault that appears to be a manufacturing fault. The underglaze paint loss is to the rear of the jug, the other two are at the front but cannot be seen when displayed see pics.
