PRO-Keds Royal Court Arcade Series "Centipede Edition" (2007) NEW! Tags attached, extra laces, no box, only flaw is marker on the bottom of the sneaker, included in photos, please read, this is a very rare sneaker in new condition. The PRO-Keds Royal Court Arcade Series "Centipede Edition" (2007) brings any and all retro gaming fans some nostalgic memories. Centipede's vivid graphics and playful chaos translated perfectly to the sneaker's bold, arcade-inspired design, turning footwear into a tribute to a golden age of coin-op gaming.
PRO-Keds itself has a long heritage. Originally established as a performance basketball brand in 1949, PRO-Keds gained cultural cachet through the 1970s and'80s, embraced by athletes and street culture alike before evolving into a lifestyle label with unique designs. The Arcade Series reflected that blend of sport and culture, marrying classic silhouettes with pop-culture graphics in a way that appealed to both gamers and sneaker enthusiasts. Importantly, the Arcade Series, including the Centipede Edition, was treated more like a special release than a standard seasonal sneaker. Rather than being mass-produced year after year, these themed designs were created in limited quantities as part of a niche summer 2007 lineup and tended to sell out quickly, making them rare finds today, especially in brand new condition like the pair show here. Collectors often consider them limited editions because they weren't part of PRO-Keds' core catalog and now show up primarily as vintage pieces on resale markets. Owning a pair now feels like holding a slice of gaming nostalgia!Whether you bought them in'07 or discovered them years later, the Centipede Edition stands as a playful celebration of an era when high scores and joystick battles defined afternoons. This pair is unworn, new with tags still attached.
This 19-year-old pair of sneakers has no flaws, but due to the age, please wear at your own risk. The only notable exception is in marker the number "17" on the bottom of each sneaker, which may or may not be removable, I have not tried, otherwise, there is nothing else to note. These sneakers have never even been tried on. Hope to get them to a new loving home!
