Imperial German, WW 1, VERY RARE Dragoon Officer's Brocade Dress Belt & Buckle

Imperial German, Great War, Dragoon Officer's Brocade Dress Belt and Buckle from the Kingdom of Prussia. Dragoon's were mounted infantry who were trained to gallop into battle and dismount to fight. There were only 25 Dragoon Regiments in the German Army out of 110 active Regiments at the start of WW1. When the war bogged down into trench warfare early in the war, Dragoon's, Cavalry, Ulans & Lancers were not in great demand. Brocade Dress Belts are extremely rare as they were only used in ceremonial occasions and after the war bogged down all classes of mounted troops were hardly necessary in how the war progressed.
