This Rare vintage kit from the 1980s is complete and unbuilt. Parts are still sealed in packages, some parts have come off from their sprues. Manual is folded and in French language. This is a big model with around 2300 parts, approx.
30 inches stern to stern and 29 inches tall. The box is roughly 30 x 20 x 5 inches and weighs approx. The box does have some wear, tears and tape on it. She became famous under Tourville who flew his flag on her during the victory of BĂ©veziers on 10th July 1690 and at the battle of Barfleur on 29th May 1692. This first "Soleil Royal" was built at Brest in 1669 from plans by L.Hubac for an initial tonnage of 2,000 tons, and was designed to take 104 cannon. Naval history experts have conducted a great deal of research into the "Soleil Royal" : they have all come up with their own theories, and they have all disagreed.
