GREAT BRITAIN Queen Victoria 1865 PENNY BLACK - THE "ROYAL" REPRINT Plate 66 Die II Watermark Large Crown INVERTED. It is reported Queen Victoria requested reprints of the Penny Black for members of the Royal Family. Five sheets were printed One was given to the Prince of Wales, One to the Duke of Connaught, One to the daugher of the King of Belgium and another to the Emperor of Germany.

The fifth sheet was kept at Somerset House. Bacon from Ormonde Hill exists making this request.
