This is a limited edition - the bike was made in limited numbers, 1,500 worldwide, 1,000 of which made their way into the United States. It features a brass serial number plate and MM emblems on the speedometer, fuel tank, and saddlebags. There are many exclusive features, such as a round headlight integrated into a stylish, aerodynamic cowl, a tall windscreen, a teardrop-styled fuel tank, a two-piece dual seat, a top case with an integrated passenger backrest and armrests, side-mounted hard panniers, and seven-spoke aluminum wheels.
The 2000 Limited Edition was built around a steel frame that held the 1300 V-4 engine and an air-assisted telescopic fork on the front with a142 mm of travel and a link-type air-assisted shock absorber on the rear with 104 mm of travel. With braking the bike packed two 298 mm discs with four-piston calipers on the front wheel and a 320 mm disc with a single-piston caliper on the rear wheel, offering excellent stopping performance.
