WW1 Imperial German Army Prussian Hussar PELZMUTE / BUSBY NAMED VERY RARE

Made of black-Dyed Seal Fur over a bamboo frame, this fur hat is in AMAZING used condition! Some slight marks, wear, and tiny holes, but nothing that detracts, and it still retains 99% original fur! Features a large skull on the front, with a Red Burlap Kolpak (bag) covering one side. Kokarde (Cockade) & Plume feature a 3, indicating the Regiment, and the liner is 100% COMPLETE, with the manufacture stamp. The name Thor is also written internally.

The Fangschnur (cords) are also present, but do feature some staining/tarnishing due to the age. Chin strap is also original. Made of Tombak/Bronze it has the motto "MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND" (With God For King And Fatherland).

No damage to any of the prongs. Though this is a complete set, I believe the skull and cockade "may" have been added to make it more complete. Overall the busby is in excellent condition and makes a dramatic presentation. One of the RAREST headgear known from WW1, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display.
