Very Rare Sterling Silver Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club Napkin Ring 1888
A very interesting and rare English sterling silver sporting napkin ring. It is hallmarked for London 1888?? It has been beautifully made but most interesting has a crest to its front, I believe this to be the crest and motto of the Royal Ashdown and Forrest Golf Club near Royal Tunbridge Wells. I have been on their web site and it states that the course may have been established in 1888 so this piece not only confirms that but it must also be one of, if not the, earliest piece of club history. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures 2 inches (5cms) wide by 1.75 inches by a touch over 1 inch tall weighs 22 grams. A very high quality interesting example. If you have any queries etc... To see lots more rare and beautiful silver.
