For sale is an extremely rare Voigtlander Imperial Navy binocular. 6x42 in size, which is about the rarest model in the range.
Most Imperial marked are 7x50, there are a few exceptions i. 6x30 (marineglas type) and 12x60 & 7x50 leitz, some of the 10x50 - 8x &10x42 are Army / Heer binoculars.Voigtlander also made a very rare 15x42 army glass in WW1 period. As most binocular collectors know, Voigtlander are Germany's oldest optical company, making opera glasses from 1820. Exterior is in very good condition. Optics are bright and clear, almost, but not quite perfectly clean, minimum haze, and 2 spots of dust. Possibly cleaned approx 10-15 years ago. Original correct case, is in very good condition. Case missing its carry strap/lanyard. A Museum quality glass, for the avid collector or Museum.
